COPADE is an NGO founded in 1998 by a group of friends linked to the alumni association of the Claret School of Madrid and whose objective is to promote and develop Fair Trade, Responsible Consumption and the preservation of the Environment.

We work as a priority in public-private partnerships (PPPs) with companies, NGOs and other institutions. As a result of this work, we act in the promotion of commercial relations based on Fair Trade and wood products relationships under the criteria of sustainable Forest Management through the Madera Justa seal and the FSC seal. Always giving priority to product quality and environmental and social sustainability.

The NGOs have a decisive and fundamental role in these partnerships for development, consisting of modulating and helping to understand the needs of the most disadvantaged groups in developing countries. COPADE manages all its relationships through alliances where all parties win, all parties participate and all parties play an important role in the development cooperation of the most vulnerable groups.

From COPADE, we are committed to a Fair Trade, responsible and equitable that allows access to markets to producers from impoverished and/or developing countries, and from producers in Spain, so that they are the protagonists of their own development and personal growth. In our cooperation area of development, we carry out training actions to accompany and open up new markets and loans for the acquisition of necessary machinery for productive activity. We help in the preparation of cooperatives and beneficiaries and artisan beneficiaries for participation in International Fair Trade channels and respond to a greater local demand.

The commercialization area of COPADE manages the sales of Fair Trade, gourmet, healthy and organic/BIO products and of solidarity economy in the international HQ the organization has in Spain, Honduras and Ecuador and through the distributors that it currently has in Spain and the South of France.

We raise awareness about Fair Trade and Responsible Consumption at a European level. We spread knowledge on the reality of the collectives in developing countries and producers in Spain with whom we work and the principles of Fair Trade. We also promote responsible consumption through different lines of action. We administer direct imports from Fair Trade cooperatives in Latin America and Asia. In COPADE, we think and act globally.

As a global organization for development cooperation through Fair Trade, we join the principle of transparency and good governance through the annual application of the tool of similar denomination proposed by the CONGDE (Coordinator of Development NGOs of Spain), which we apply both to our internal management and to our business relationships.

In addition, we are certified and accredited by 8 different national and international systems, both certification and product. At the financial level, we carry out regular external audits of accounts, which, added to the rest of the systems that audit us, places us as the entity in Spain that works in Fair Trade Partnerships and forest certification with more external control of our work. Always looking for maximum transparency, our price rates are clear to our business partners including the gross margin that we mark products to pay the current expenses of our activity, staff, warehouses, etc.

Committed team of professionals with experience in finance, administration, project formulation and execution, international cooperation, marketing, customer service, communication and others.
