Tidy towns inspire a huge amount of voluntary effort in towns and villages across the country, with now over eight hundred competition entries each year. Westport have been very successful in the Tidy towns competition having been overall winners in 2001,2006 and 2008, and also receiving the large town award in 2003,2004,2008,2009,2012,2014,2017,2018 and most recently in 2019, with special thanks to it's hard working and dedicated volunteers, committee, businesses and local community. Our aim is to continue to work together to keep Westport one of Irelands tidiest towns.

We are a voluntary group guided by a committee of 20 with a  part time admin person.

Promotion of biodiversity, environmental care, litter picks, engaging young people
